Gandhinagar: Coronavirus is on the rise in Gujarat. The Corona virus has been rampant for the past three days. In the last 24 hours, 22 people have died due to covid-19 in the state of Gujarat. While for the third day in a row, more than 300 cases have been reported in the state so far with 4721 cases of corona positive. The total death toll in the state has reached 236. The state has registered 326 crore positive cases in the last 24 hours. In addition 123 patients have recovered so far 736 patients have been discharged.
The state has witnessed the highest number of deaths in a single day, while more than 300 positive cases have been reported for the third day in a row. Earlier, 308 positive cases were reported on April 29 and 313 on April 30. While on April 19 also 367 patients came forward. Thus, more than 300 corona patients have been registered 4 times in the state.
Giving an update on corona in Gujarat, Jayanti Ravi, Principal Secretary, Health, said that 326 new cases of Covid 19 have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. From the area, 267 positive cases have been reported in Ahmedabad, 26 in Surat, 19 in Vadodara, 6 in Mahisagar, 3 in Panchmahal, 1-1 in Botad, Gandhinagar, Kutch, Patan and Banaskantha. While 10 have died due to corona and 12 due to other diseases, high risk and corona.
There were 16 deaths in Ahmedabad, five in Vadodara and one in Surat, bringing the total to 22. While 123 patients have recovered and been discharged today, so far 736 patients have returned home on leave. Out of a total of 4,721 patients on 36 patient ventilators, 3713 are stable while 736 have recovered and 236 have died. As far as testing is concerned, 68,774 tests have been done so far, out of which 4721 reports are positive and 64053 are negative.
