The central government on Friday announced an extension of the lockdown until May 17. The second phase of the lockdown was scheduled to end on May 3. But now the lockdown will last for two more weeks. However, the government has given some concessions in the meantime. The government has given the country green, orange and red.

The central government on Friday announced an extension of the lockdown until May 17. The second phase of the lockdown was scheduled to end on May 3. But now the lockdown will last for two more weeks. However, the government has given some concessions in the meantime. The government has divided the country into green, orange and red zones. Nine districts of Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat fall in the red zone. While 19 districts fall into the Orange Zone. There are five districts that fall into the green zone. The 319 districts declared green zones will be able to run 50 per cent buses with conditions. E-commerce is also allowed in the Orange Zone. In addition to necessities of life, non-essential items are also allowed in this zone. All economic activities are allowed in the green zone. According to the latest order, buses will run in 307 districts of the green zone, but the capacity of buses will not exceed 50 per cent. This means that if a bus has 50 seats, no more than 25 passengers can travel. Other essential services and items, including shops and salons, will be available in these districts from May 4.



The red zone will have a variety of restrictions, according to an advisory issued by the home ministry. Bicycle rickshaw, auto rickshaw, taxi and cab services will not be available in the red zone. The bus service from one district to another will also be closed here. Spa, salon shops will also be closed. Buses will not be allowed in the Orange Zone, cabs will be allowed. The cab can seat only one passenger with the driver. Industrial activities will start in the Orange Zone and the complex will also open.



The movement of vehicles and people in the Orange Zone can only be done for approved activities.
